Booz-Allen Hamilton Adventure Club: Ships Ahoy!

“This was an inexpensive and exciting way to get outdoors and see the San Diego skyline from a different perspective – from a sailboat on the bay,” said Senior Consultant Jason Pippin.

Thirteen Booz Allen employees and their guests ventured out onto the Bay July 23 for a sailing clinic sponsored by the Adventure Club. Instructors from J-World Sailing School in Shelter Island took groups of three students each out onto J-80 sailboats and taught them the ropes. Everyone took a turn at the helm, and even those with no prior sailing experience were able to tack, trim the sails, and crack jokes at the passing motor boats by the end of the two-hour clinic.
