This class is designed as the basic building block of sailing. Our five-day Learn How to Sail class helps you get started, or builds upon sailing knowledge gleaned elsewhere. Using the J80 as our teaching platform, we begin on Monday with basic boat-handling and terminology and finish on Friday by flying down San Diego Bay under spinnaker. Our ultimate goal in this class is that by Friday each student feels competent and confident taking our boats out without instructor input. No previous experience necessary. This course is also appropriate for those who have some experience, but are not comfortable sailing on their own.
