Live-Aboard Offshore CruisingLive-Aboard Offshore Cruising Course DescriptionThis class is for the more advanced sailor. Either someone moving up to a larger boat or sailors wanting to bareboat charter. We offer both a five-day offshore cruising class (Mon-Fri) and a three-day live-aboard class(Fri-Sun). These classes will give you the confidence you need for offshore cruising and/or coastal cruising.
We teach the sailing class aboard our J120 "Jabberwocky". The J120 is a great learning platform, with a well-laid out deck, spacious cockpit and comfortable cabins. If you are planning a bareboat charter and need a refresher, want to feel more comfortable on your own boat, or just want to see how state of the art performance and cruising come together off the coast of California, join us for this class! Live-Aboard Offshore Cruising RequirementsThe ability to comfortably sail an auxiliary powered sailboat. Knowledge of sailing, seamanship, basic navigation, and boat handling.
Live-Aboard Offshore Cruising Certifications AvailableIn order to obtain the following certifications you must already have the US Sailing Basic Keelboat Certification and a current US Sailing membership. We include one certification with each course. It is possible to complete the course work for both certifications in the five-day Live-Aboard Offshore Cruising. The cost for additional certification is $60.00.
